The Heywood section of East Lancashire Railway recently reopened and provides the perfect opportunity to take a nostalgic journey by steam train on a picturesque 26 mile round trip along the Irwell Valley. Relax in the gardens by the Serpentine Lake or catch a performance in the open-air theatre.
